i think the title is "Vaedikkai Manidhar", but i first heard the song in the film Mahanadhi, rendered beautifully by none other than Kamal Hassan. You can find these words in my orkut album...

Back home we had neighbours who were in their 70s, both mamma and mammi knew almost every mahakavi's song by heart. If you pass into their house, you might find them singing those poems while doing their daily chores. My eagerness and appreciation for his poems is confimned to Mp3.
as one of my previous comments says, it comes in the movie Mahanadhi, which is my favorite. This song has a great impact on me. pull arikkum varigaL. if one knows fair amount of tamil and if one happens to analyse the meaning of his songs, the appreciation part is automatic...

I have heard ur voice couple of times avalodhan... but it sounded good only.. adunaladhan apadi sonen. But inda voice romba husky and ganeernu iruku.. so had a doubt if it was urs :-s idu un voice mari enaku padala.. but previous comments padichu oru doubt vandhuchu.

And Ramm,is that u..wow u had me fooled into thinking it was sayaji shinde's..the guy who played bharati to the hilt in the film..and what a clear diction..gr8:)
makes me get nostalgic abt my tamil classes.. gone are those days :-).. really enjoyed reading the subject... though was forced nt to take a career path as a tamil writer.. nt confident of venturing into it nw.. shld try smtime tata suku
