So Long, Dears!

What a heart-break this is! I've been in love with her for so long now...for over 10 years! She's the one girl who hasn't turned me off even once! There is no parallel to her beauty...she's beauty's epitome. She's now the wife of Abhishek Bachchan(their wedding was on April 20th). Am glad she postponed her wedding for so long...i'd have had a bigger heartbreak had it been a few years back! I wish her all the very best in life and that Small B better take good care of her! Please continue to entertain, Aishu! Love You! :* ;)
What a performer. If there's one player who can match Sachin's every single shot, it's this genius. A total class act. In my opinion, the best left-handed batsman cricket has ever seen!(let's face it- i haven't seen much of G Pollock, Gower and Sobers to say this and yet i wont be off by much!). One of the elite few including Viv Richards, Sachin and Ponting who could play any form of cricket without the slightest problem. He announced his retirement from international cricket yesterday(April 19th), after their game against Bangladesh. He will play his last international game, his 299th ODI, against England on Saturday. Am hoping to see a brilliant century from him, a West-Indian victory and a memorable send-off for this black beauty from West Indies! Brian Charles Lara- you will be badly missed. Goodluck!

Lara is a match winner while Sachin isn't :P

Porikki Samuels.

Great player. Sad he had to play for a not so great team.

Ramya- thanks :P and yes, you are right...it's sad.
(i did not get an email for this comment of yours as well!)

Naren- that's an amateur statement...but given the way someone like Gavaskar writes these days, i think it's ok :P

K7- yupp. very true. i saw his entire last innings live. absolutely right about Samuels...total porukki! :(

Wait a sec...dont compare Lara to Sachin dude. One is a genius who's retiring when everyone still wants to watch him play, and the other is an embarrassment, who makes a mockery of himself each time he goes out to bat.

Prashanth- do you even know your cricket? Lara was to be dumped for the England tour anyways and I compared the two only with regards to the wide range of the shots they play, which you cannot argue against. So, it's you who's starting a comparison that i have no opinion about. I don't think this is the place to discuss your opinions- you have your own blog, don't you? :P

Try disabling comments if you dont wanna hear another person's opinion.

Good idea eh?

dei- i do want to hear other people's opinions about the topics i blog about...not their opinions about some random topic like comparing two greats and ridiculing greats. that's SO not the idea of my blog. sorry ;)
