Man 1: Do you know that there are thugs who kidnap children from the slums, blind their eyes, make them beg on the streets and get a living out of that? I learnt about it from the Slumdog Millionaire movie.
Man 2: I see. A tad worse than people who show the ill fortunes of slum dwellers in a movie and make millions out of it, definitely. The Penthouse Paupers are a little better.

Can't agree on this. Showing poverty in a movie might even direct proper towards it.
Till the time paupers can make movies.... the penthouse paupers need to fill-in!
Jammy - most certainly. but that's not the impression i got from the movie itself and from what i read about the movie from different sources. i choose to believe that it was made with no noble intentions whatsoever.
Bhaskar - welcome here. you bet, man. how can we live without watching such movies? we need those PPs to feed us with glorious movies like SM. forget about the paupers. they'll bathe on filth and feed on rubbish. they'll find a way to survive. them making movies? who knows? suddenly, someone might find a medicine to eradicate hunger out of this planet!
